Virginia Republican U.S. Senate candidate Corey Stewart issued a statement today in response to the announcement of Justice Kennedy's retirement from the U.S. Supreme Court.
"With Justice Kennedy's retirement, President Trump has an opportunity to nominate another strong young conservative in the mold of Neil Gorsuch who can serve for many years," Stewart said.
"I anticipate the President will take advantage of this opportunity to move the court further in a conservative direction that respects the Constitution and our freedoms."
